(Located on the north shore of Buffalo Lake you will find one of the best kept secrets in central Alberta, Pelican Point Campground. Pelican Point Campground is owned and operated by Camrose County, and features the best family beach in Alberta. You will find this "Diamond in the Rough" 6 miles south on Highway 53 and a short driving distance from the Town of Bashaw and Stettler and the City of Camrose. Your children will enjoy the miles of soft sand that is perfect for sand castles and is maintained daily by a full time campgound manager. On a hot day, the whole family can cool off in a designated swimming area that will suit a non-swimmer that just wants to make a slash, to the most experienced swimmer. Ath the end of the day, parents will enjoy a grassed picnic area, complete with camp stoves, while the kids practice their skills on a new playground located right on the beach. Pelican Point Campground features 58 power sites, 9 non-power sites, new washroom facilities, complete with showers, a marina, a concession and mini golf. During the long weekend in August you can take part in the sand castle contest or beach volleyball or just sit and enjoy the end of summer fireworks show.)
