Bailey Theatre
The historic Bailey Theatre in Camrose, Alberta, Canada opened its doors in 1911 as a vaudeville theatre and dancehall. It is the oldest theatre of its type in Alberta and is a municipal historic site. After over 6 years of active committee work and almost $7 million in restoration and upgrading, the newly renovated Bailey Theatre re-opened its doors on May 21, 2011. This flat floor facility offers 110 permanent seats in the balcony, flexible seating on the main floor, creating a theatre style capacity for up to 400 patrons. A catering kitchen and separate bistro area provides the capability to host dinner theatre, receptions and a wide range of uses. Special attention has been provided by the Board of Directors, architect and consultants to provide a top quality, multi-use facility with strong ties to the community and surrounding area. Camrose is a city of over 17,000 in north-central Alberta and has a trading area of over 140,000.
