About Tourism Camrose Welcome to Camrose! We are thrilled to share everything from hockey to hiking trails. Get in Touch Where it all began In 2004, Tourism Camrose was founded as a society. This group raised the bar for tourism in Camrose championing events including the renowned Purple Martin Festival and the Camrose Growing Rural Tourism Conference. This society folded in 2020. 2004 2022 Upon Tourism Camrose folding, there was a clear gap left in the community. The work of Tourism Camrose was reinvigorated as part of the City of Camrose's Economic Development activities. Since 2022, these are some highlights of the work that Tourism Camrose has participated in: Re-design and launch the Tourism Camrose website Develop and begin implementing a Camrose Events Destination Strategy Print Camrose & Area Tourism Guides (2024 & 2025 ) Choose Camrose Region Campaign (gnome scavenger hunt) The Passport Campaign Pursuing investment in 10 Tourism Opportunities Meet The Team Meet Maven Maven attended the U of A Augustana campus in Camrose from 2017 to 2021 and fell in love with the community. Her passion for tourism was spurred on by working as a whitewater rafting guide as a summer job during university. She brings technical and hands-on expertise to this role.
