Your event is expected to have 100+ attendees (circus, dance parties, exhibition, festivals/outdoor gatherings, parades, etc.) Yes, you probably need a permit.
Your event is hosted entirely on private property or in a venue specifically built or designed to be used to host such events (ie. soccer game at a soccer field) No, you probably don't need a permit.
You want to host a block party. No, you probably don't need a permit.
Your event requires partial or complete road closures, includes inflatable structures or stages on public property, or involves outdoor use of pyrotechnics including fireworks. Yes, you probably need a permit.
