We are so thrilled to share the new Camrose Eco-Map; a students' guide to sustainable living in Camrose. This map was developed as a way for newcomers to the community and students to find sustainable ways of experiencing our community. The Augustana Sustainability Club's executive, Ese Jane Aror headed up this project and has highlighted some key places she thinks students should know about if they're new to the area.
Watch the tutorial to learn more about the map and navigating the different features here.
Otherwise, peruse the map locations by category and find bus stops (free public transportation on a fixed schedule), eco-thrift stores & decor, cozy cafes & libraries, food/markets & food banks, public trails & parks, clinics & pharmacies, greenspaces, and recycling centres.

Disclaimer: All locations present within this map were selected and suggested by International Students and Non-International Students who have experienced being new to Camrose. All future sustainable location suggestions will only be taken from students for a more curated student experience.
Moving to a new university town doesn't mean you have to leave your eco-conscious habits behind. The Camrose Eco-Map highlights local, community-focused spaces where your choices do double duty. Every location featured on this map connects directly to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), whether it's a thrift shop funding shelters, a cozy cafe battling single-use plastics, food banks ensuring zero waste, or community-based healthcare and essential aid.
This map was created to give new students a sense of where other students found the most support during their transition into a new community as well as make living sustainably more accessible.
Welcome to a community where small, everyday student actions build a more resilient future.
