Lefse is a traditional Norwegian potato flatbread, rolled thin, and cooked on a griddle. It is typically enjoyed with butter, sugar, or savoury fillings. In Camrose, lefse is more than a tasty treat, it’s a time-honoured tradition of the region’s early Scandinavian settlers. The Lefse House specializes in making lefse, flatbread, rosettes, and krumkake, celebrating the Norwegian roots woven into Camrose’s community identity.

The Camrose United Church is delighted to offer a tour of the 100 year-old building with 100 year-old pews and many stained glass windows. Brochures are available about the building history and the stained glass windows.

The office is open 9-12 weekdays (except July) or call ahead to arrange a different time for your tour.

OleO’s ice cream stand has been a part of Camrose for over 24 years and although the owners have changed, the stand is a summer tradition here. OleO’s is now owned by the Broz family (former owners of the Camrose Fruit stand) and we maintain the same values; family owned and local!

If you don’t already know the lovely folks at OleO’s, you soon will because they only serve Foothills Creamery ice cream and you’ll love it! The Creamery has served Western Canada for over 50 years and offer over 80 different flavours of ice cream, sorbet, sherbet, and soft serve. They are 100% Canadian, committed to small batches, using the same old-fashioned barrel churned techniques for a creamier and more full-bodied ice cream for kids and kids at heart.

This stunning donut is filled with raspberry compote and fresh whipped white chocolate cream, then topped with a red wild rose – a sweet tribute to Alberta’s provincial flower!

This donut was designed by a Camrose local, Olivia, and brought to life by The Sweeterie. One of the taste testers boasts it’s, “the BEST donut I’ve ever had!!”
