Whether you have just one day or a full weekend to explore the Camrose region, this itinerary is designed for family friendly and engaging experiences. We have included hidden gems, sweet treats, and even some live entertainment!

A Day of Family Memories in the Making

Morning - The morning will start off with a visit at the Camrose Heritage Railway Station & Park. You can take a self-directed Heritage Flower Tour or book a guided tour. There are always flowers in bloom between gardens including:
Hummingbird Garden
Lupin Garden
Children's Secret Garden - where kids can play on a large, wooden play train.
Morgan Garden Railway - features model buildings inspired by Camrose, Meeting Creek, and Big Valley.
Victory Garden is a vegetable and fruit garden that was used in World Wars I and II to feed people in Camrose and soldiers overseas.

Continuing with the theme of history, stop by the Camrose & District Centennial Museum to see a rotating display in the main gallery, thousands of artifacts, and many buildings that are from or inspired by Camrose's early settler days including the old fire hall, the blacksmith shop, log hut, schoolhouse, and more.
Lunch - Stop for lunch at Strada Coffee Co. & Artisan Bakery who are known for their yummy brews and locally sourced ingredients.

Afternoon - While visiting Camrose's lively downtown, make sure to explore this historic main street and feel free to explore some shops. Save some steps though, because you won't want to miss a walk around Mirror Lake on foot, with a 0.7km loop or 2.16km loop. Feel free to stop at one of the many viewpoints to enjoy the serenity of the lake. Reward yourselves with some ice cream from OleO's Ice Cream Castle. The kids can even enjoy the playground nearby.

Evening/Dinner - Dinner at Marrow is a fun experience. The building is a provincially recognized historic site being a former feedmill-turned modern dining establishment. Then, take in a show at the Bailey Theatre or Jeanne and Peter Lougheed Performing Arts Centre.
